McNally Group and Traditional Land owners, Eastern Guruma worked together as a Joint Venture on three separate packages awarded by Rio Tinto to upgrade camp facilities and the extension to existing NBWT admin building.
The scope of works included:
- SP1 – Design and construction of a new sports field,
swimming pool various other new modular buildings including ice rooms and gymnasium extension. The scope also included the design, refurbish and enclose the existing beer garden, increase size of tavern and build new common areas including BBQ’s.
- SP2- Design and install landscaping to the whole of the camp site as well as drainage system to existing and new buildings throughout the village.
- SP3 – Design, manufacture and transport a new administration building at the mine site, extending the original main office from 36 floors (1700m2 previously built by McNally group) to another 12 floors and extra 570m2.
